t-107 along the duwamish

The Duwamish River basin has long been a victim of progress. In the early 1900's the river was dredged and straightened to be transformed into an industrial waterway that could be used for shipping. Thus, destroying the natural habitat for fish and wildlife that always flourished along the river. "T-107" is a small grassy area that has been "spared" of development due to its historical significance. This was the site of a Native American village of the Duwamish tribe.
